The PMP® exam is a multiple choice test. 200 questions will be presented to you, one after the other, each with 4 possible answers of which only one is correct. 25 of the questions will not be counted, they are new and being field tested.
The objective is: Find the correct answer for each question. The touchstone is to achieve this for at least 135 question within 4 hours. You are having 72 seconds per questions.
The key for achieving this objective is preparation by repetition!

The recommendation for using cbPMPtrainer is first and foremost to start using it

· after you attended the 35-hours of project management education, which is a prerequisite for the certification and

·  after you read a good book or the PMBoK guide.

You should plan a period of about 6 to 8 weeks where you

In each session you should see 75 to 150 questions, depending on your personal speed and your learning progress. The sessions should last between 60 and 90 minutes.

Don’t be worried if your passing score will be low during the first sessions. The statistics will show your progress. If there are knowledge areas you see weaknesses in, read again your book. cbPMPtrainer will show these questions more often any way.

The real life exam will about 200 questions in 4 hours.

Towards the end of your learning period of 6-8 weeks, you should have sessions with 200 questions and your passing score should be above 75% in all knowledge areas. Then you’re prepared for the exam!

The alternative recommendation for those who can't read lengthy books and memorize all they have read:

After you attended the 35-hours of project management education you will immediately start learning with the cbPMPtrainer using the same schedule as described above. The difference is: If you come across a question you do not grasp and you do not even understand the explanation, then break your session and look that up in the according paragraphs of your favorite book. Although this will be jumping from knowledge area to knowledge area, for some people it proofed to be the right way of learning and exam preparation.
